As a continuation of their unit on the First World War, the grade 10 history students presented about various ways it is depicted in the media. Topics included the propaganda used in the war and the Vimy Ridge Memorial.
The grade 10 students wrapped up their reading of All Quiet On The Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque, just in time for the centennial anniversary of the Armistice. In the upcoming days, they will begin an assignment which examines different types of media that commemorate the First World War.
On October 31st, the students of MGCI had the opportunity to dress in costumes to celebrate Halloween. They participated in many Halloween-themed activities during lunch, including a costume fashion show, a donut-eating competition, and face painting.
This week, the grade 10 math students examined the relationships between vectors and line segment division in detail. They also looked at different properties of lines and circles, such as the formulas for the midpoint and distance of a line and the tangent to a circle. They will continue their studies of 2D Geometry in the days to come.
