Shakespearean Scenes

The grade 10 English class prepared and performed productions based on Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. Each group chose an individual scene to analyze and re-enact in detail, focusing on themes and characters. The students prepared shortened versions of the script to show their interpretations and summaries of the scenes they chose.

Greek Mythology

This week, the grade 9 students started their study of Greek mythology by reading Homer’s The Odyssey. To gain a better understanding of the text, they participated in related activities such as putting themselves in a character’s dilemma, debating choices made by the characters, and rewriting scenes from the characters’ perspective.

Story Timelines

This week, the grade 9 English class presented their story timelines to get to know each other better. Students made visual chronological representations of stories that were most important to them and created oral presentations explaining their significance. Students will go on to learn about the hero’s role in stories later this week.

Hands-on Vegetation

The grade 9 geography class learned about vegetation by planting a variety of seeds in vermicompost and soil. The students will continue to study vermicomposting in the coming week through hands-on activities.
