This week, the grade 11 biology students began their plant growth investigation project. Students worked in groups to design experiments investigating the impacts of various variables on plant growth. They selected and planted their subjects, then began their experiments.
The grade 10 English class conducted book talks on one of a selection of texts related to WWII. Students discussed aspects of their chosen book, such as themes or symbols, in groups of 4 or 5. They will prepare and present a picture and quotes that are significant to their text.
The grade 9 civics class went on a field trip to Hot Docs Cinema, where they watched an inspiring documentary about the life of Ilhan Omar. Afterward, they toured Ontario’s Legislative Building to learn about how legal decisions are made in Ontario.
This week, the grade 11 physics students began their study of kinematics. They learned about the basic units and terminology related to their first study of motion.
