Unhealthy Food Sale

This Thursday, the first Unhealthy Food Sale of the schoolyear was held on the first floor during lunch. Many student-run initiatives, such as HOSA and Bridge Club, sold an assortment of delectable food items – the likes of cheesecake, brownies, and samosas – to raise money for their club budget.

Creepin’ it real

On October 31st, the students of MGCI had the opportunity to dress in costumes to celebrate Halloween. They participated in many Halloween-themed activities during lunch, including a costume fashion show, a donut-eating competition, and face painting.

MGCI Clubs Fair

This Friday, MGCI held their first Clubs Fair in the galleria at lunch. Dozens of student-led groups including Orphan Sponsorship Club and the Muslim Student Association promoted their respective clubs and activities. Promotional items such as doodling cards and paper cranes were also given out at the event, attracting a successful student turn-out overall.

The Reckoner Meeting

The Reckoner, MGCI’s school newspaper, held a meeting to start off the year. Many TOPS students participate in The Reckoner, whether it is through contributions of writing pieces, maintenance of The Reckoner’s website, or design of the paper’s layout. The club convened to outline expectations, upcoming deadlines, and future goals, as well as to welcome all new and returning members.
