For their final trip of the year, grade 12 students visited Chicago for five days. The itinerary included visitations to the Art Institute of Chicago and Wrigley’s Stadium. Students also participated in numerous architectural tours of the city and visited homes designed by American architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
The grade 10 students embarked on their long anticipated expedition to Algonquin Park. The grade 11 students attended Winter Pinecrest, a four-day overnight trip at YMCA’s Camp Pinecrest, as a reward for their successful completion of a demanding fall semester that included AP Calculus and TOPS Chemistry. Students had a great time participating in team building exercises to bond and relax before the new semester.

As an extension to their astrophysics units, the grade 12 AP Physics students visited The University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies. Students attended lectures given by graduate level researchers on topics ranging from computational fluid dynamics to rocket propulsion.
The TOPS students visited Stratford, Ontario for their annual trip this week. Over a two-day period, the four grades watched three plays at the Avon and Festival Theatre. Students enjoyed productions of “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”, ” Shakespeare in Love” and the musical, “A Chorus Line”.
