This week, the grade 10 TOPS students presented their history novel study summatives, for which they performed an in-depth analysis of various pieces of Canadian literature and connected them to recurring themes in Canadian History.
This week, the grade 10 TOPS students learned about graphing the basic trigonometric functions in the Advanced Functions course. They graphed the sine, cosine and tangent functions, as well as their transformations.
The Grade 10 TOPS science class recently began their unit on quantum mechanics. They learned about the simple yet practical methods used by historical astronomers and physicists to measure the speed of light and the distance between the stars and the earth.
The grade 10 English class indulged themselves in the classic “The Great Gatsby”- a story of love, death, wealth and betrayal. They explored the world through the eyes of the aristocrats from the early 1920’s as they prepared for an organized fish-bowl seminar on the novel.
