Grade 11 Physics students applied their knowledge of rectilinear motion this week in an interactive lab where they measured and calculated the velocity and acceleration of a car model. They conducted the experiment with ticker timers, an apparatus used to measure time.
The Grade 11’s were lucky enough to have Professors Krieger, Kushner, and Morris from the University of Toronto physics department come in and talk about their research and projects. Students listened eagerly as topics from particle physics to patterns in nature were discussed and demonstrated.
This week, grade eleven students rediscover cell theory as they delve into the details of biology. Before heading into more complex topics, students focus on the finer details by taking a look at cellular structure and behaviour on a molecular level.
