This week, the grade 10 math students learned to identify different types of graphs and translations. The graphs ranged from linear, quadratic, cubic, square root, exponential, reciprocal, to inverse. The students analyzed the functions to identify their reflection, stretch, compression, and translation.
This week, grade 9 TOPS students studied the Epic of Gilgamesh, one of the first great works of literature. Groups were assigned for students to reenact a chapter from the epic and to break down the story into key scenes. As a result, students were able to further their understanding of important elements in the text.
