YMCA Camp Pinecrest

This week, the Grade 11 TOPS students visited YMCA Camp Pine Crest to relax after a stressful weeks of summative evaluations and exams. They participated in a number of exciting activities, including snow tubing, backcountry skiing, high ropes, toboggan building, and snowshoeing. In the opinion of many participating students, the highlight of their trip was the unique opportunity to build and sleep in quinzhees, shelters made by hollowing out a pile of settled snow. After having this week-long break, they are now ready to tackle the wave of challenges that will inevitably be brought along with second semester.
